From the Stonewall Riots and prior to today, there has been significant progress in equality for the LGBTQ+ community thanks to tireless and often thankless work of courageous warriors for human rights. But there's still a long road ahead.
People who are LGBTQ+ continue to face widespread exclusion, prejudice, and discrimination everywhere including work and school. For one, LGBTQ+ people are more likely than their peers to live in poverty due to overlapping factors.
Overt discrimination, like getting fired for being transgender (which is legal in 26 states) or even murdered is not where it stops—society subtly, pervasively places undue and dangerous burden on people trying to peacefully live their lives. Anybody human should be outraged at these injustices.
From September 2019 to December 2019 I am trying to do my part by offering 3 nonprofits pro-bono logo design. An effective logo and brand image can exponentiate your reach. If you serve people who are LGBTQ+ and need a new or refreshed logo, please get in touch to discuss your project.
